Purpose of the Job

Perform aluminothermic welding on grooved rail systems to the highest standards of quality and safety.

Responsibilities

  • Execute welding tasks related to the maintenance, repair, and installation of grooved rails on railway tracks.
  • Conduct thorough inspections before and after welding to ensure alignment with industry standards and project specifications.
  • Adhere to all relevant safety protocols and regulations, ensuring a safe working environment for all team members.
  • Maintain accurate records of welding activities, including completed welds, inspections, and any issues encountered during the process.
  • Work closely with the engineering and construction teams to ensure that welding tasks align with project timelines and objectives.
  • Ensure all welding equipment is properly maintained, calibrated, and in good  working order.
  • Candidate Requirements
  • Educational Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Basic English Level / A1-A2
  • Desired Knowledge / Experience
  • Experience: Minimum of [5] years of experience in aluminothermic welding, specifically with grooved rails in a railway environment.
  • Valid and traceable certifications in aluminothermic welding from recognized authorities.
  • Proficiency in using welding equipment, tools, and materials specific to aluminothermic welding and grooved rail systems
  • Strong understanding of railway track systems, grooved rail welding techniques, and safety regulations.
  • Additional certifications in related welding techniques or track work. Previous experience working on large-scale railway projects.
