We are looking for a motivated Automation Engineer to join our team in the finance industry.

The Junior Automation Engineer is an entry-level role for candidates beginning their career in software testing and automation. The position focuses on learning Python-based automation while assisting in the development and execution of scripts that validate databases and, to a lesser extent, APIs

Full-time, on-site position in Tel Aviv, with no hybrid option .

Responsibilities

• Develop Python scripts to test and validate database behavior
• Write and run SQL queries to verify data integrity and application state
• Maintain and update existing Python automation scripts
• Execute automated tests and review results
• Investigate simple test failures and report defects
• Assist with basic API testing to confirm end-to-end data flow
• Work with existing automation frameworks and follow team coding standards

Requirements

• Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field, or equivalent technical training.
• Python: basic programming concepts (loops, conditions, functions)
• Databases and relational data
• JSON structure
• Web applications and HTTP requests
• SQL queries
• Git version control
• SDET practices
• Python scripting/testing libraries (e.g., pytest)
• Database drivers or ORMs (e.g., SQLAlchemy, psycopg2)
• REST API testing tools (e.g., Postman, requests)
