Client Team Lead (Web & Mobile)

Description

We are looking for a Client Team Lead (Web & Mobile) to join our founding core team and help us build the future of streaming. This is a high-impact, hybrid role where you will initially roll up your sleeves to architect and build the Shortical web client from the ground up. Beyond the code, you will lead and mentor our multi-platform engineering team (Web, Android & iOS), leveraging Kotlin Multiplatform (KMP) to unify our logic and drive technical excellence across our entire ecosystem.

Responsibilities

• Hands-on Web Development: Architect and build the Shortical web client to bring our cinematic content to browser-based users.
• Team Leadership: Manage and mentor the client-side engineering team, including Android and iOS developers.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Product, Growth, and Content teams to optimize user engagement and maximize revenue.
• Cross-Platform Oversight: Drive the technical strategy for our Kotlin Multiplatform (KMP) implementation to maximize code sharing and performance.
• Experimentation Engine: Architect and manage a robust A/B testing framework within the clients to support simultaneous, complex experiments across various user segments.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of hands-on frontend development experience, with expert-level knowledge of modern web frameworks (preferably React).
• 2+ years of experience as a Team Lead / Tech Lead
• Proven experience in mobile development (Android/iOS), providing the technical foundation needed to manage a multi-platform team.
• Strongly product-oriented with a keen eye for UI/UX design and experience collaborating with design teams to build user-centric products.
• Experience in high-growth environments, preferably in consumer-facing mobile apps, gaming, or entertainment.
• Excellent skills in presenting technical subjects and insights to stakeholders.

• Experience with complex in-app economies and different types of billing systems.
• Direct experience with streaming platforms, video technologies, or digital media content delivery.
• Proven experience managing multiple, overlapping A/B tests on platforms with millions of users, ensuring statistical significance and avoiding "test pollution".
• Experience or strong knowledge of Kotlin Multiplatform for cross-platform development.
