Compliance Officer
Description
ONE ZERO, the Israel’s first digital bank is looking for a Compliance Officer to lead the bank’s Compliance Function, strengthen regulatory oversight, and drive the development of advanced control and monitoring capabilities. This role requires deep knowledge of banking regulation, strong leadership skills, and a passion for solutions to enhance compliance effectiveness.
Your Day-to-Day
Lead and manage the bank’s Compliance Function, including professional oversight, team leadership, and employee development. Continuously assess compliance risks and maintain governance, risk, and compliance (GRC) systems. Develop and implement automated control environments and AI-based monitoring tools to proactively identify compliance risks. Oversee regulatory implementation and establish effective control frameworks aligned with banking and financial services regulations. Monitor and support compliance with Anti-Money Laundering and Counter Financing of Terrorism (AML/CFT) requirements, including ongoing review of regulatory updates and industry best practices. Conduct compliance surveys, risk assessments, gap analyses, and internal reviews. Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to design and implement compliance workflows, investigation processes, and monitoring mechanisms. Deliver compliance training sessions and provide ongoing guidance to employees and senior management. Prepare professional reports, insights, recommendations, and compliance updates for senior leadership, committees, and regulators. Support the development and continuous enhancement of compliance monitoring frameworks, controls, and governance processes.
Requirements
- Academic degree in Law, Economics, or Accounting (LL.B / Economist / CPA).
- Proven managerial experience leading compliance or regulatory teams.
- Minimum 12 years of experience in compliance, enforcement or regulatory oversight within the banking sector.
- Strong familiarity with banking regulation, regulatory expectations, and supervisory frameworks.
- Knowledge and understanding of Anti-Money Laundering and Counter Financing of Terrorism (AML/CFT) regulations and related compliance requirements.
- Hands-on experience implementing both automated and manual control processes.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including database queries, data analysis, and research capabilities.
- Excellent presentation and communication skills, with the ability to train employees and senior management.
- High integrity, independence, professionalism, and sound judgment.
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and effectively manage multiple priorities.
