Coordinator of the “Orshina” Hub in Jerusalem

Job Description

Elem Association is looking for a Coordinator for the “Orshina” Hub in Jerusalem – To lead the Orshina urban hub – a street address for youth and young adults to consult on issues of sexuality and sexual trauma.

50% position

The role includes

• Leading the “Orshina in the city” hub, which provides an initial response to adolescents and young adults in the context of sexual abuse.
• Personal contact and accompaniment of adolescents and young adults who turn to the hub, and mediation to relevant community entities.
• Recruitment, management, and accompaniment of volunteers in the mobile unit.
• Participation in team meetings and training and guidance sessions.

Job Requirements

• Familiarity and experience in working or volunteering in the field of sexual trauma – mandatory
• Relevant degree in education/therapy professions – mandatory
• Experience working with adolescents in situations of risk and exclusion
• Ability to contain and be non-judgmental, and to establish contact with adolescents from different cultures in distress.
• Experience in leading a team or working with volunteers – an advantage
• Availability for work on Thursday mornings – mandatory.
• Availability for one fixed evening shift per week during night hours – mandatory (Wednesday – an advantage).
