Business Operations Lead – Development Division

Role Purpose

We are looking for a highly driven and strategic BusinThis role serves as a key strategic and execution partner to the Head of Development, responsible for translating the division's strategy into actionable plans, managing budgets and resources, establishing performance management frameworks, and leading the division's PMO and operational staff.ess Operations Lead to drive operational excellence, business management, and strategic execution across our Development Division.

Responsibilities

• Division Strategy & Planning
• Translate the Development Division strategy into annual and multi-year execution plans.
• Lead the division-wide goals and objectives planning process.
• Establish and maintain governance mechanisms for tracking strategic initiatives and commitments across the organization.
• Ensure alignment with broader business and enterprise objectives.
• Performance Management & Analytics
• Develop and manage performance measurement frameworks and KPIs.
• Conduct in-depth analysis of business and delivery trends.
• Identify risks, gaps, and performance deviations.
• Provide actionable insights and recommendations to division leadership.
• Business Management, Budget & Resource Planning
• Own and oversee the division's budget, vendor agreements, procurement processes, and financial governance.
• Lead workforce planning, capacity management, and resource allocation processes.
• Drive efficiency initiatives and FinOps practices.
• Support leadership decision-making regarding prioritization, investments, and resource allocation.
• Cross-Functional Program, Dependency & Risk Management
• Manage complex dependencies and risks across engineering organizations, platforms, infrastructure teams, and transformation initiatives.
• Proactively identify delivery bottlenecks and execution risks.
• Lead cross-functional mitigation plans and operational improvements.
• PMO & Governance Leadership
• Lead the division's governance processes and operating cadence.
• Own executive management materials, leadership forums, agendas, and action-item tracking.
• Drive operational discipline and foster a strong organizational culture within the division.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Technology, Information Systems, Industrial Engineering & Management, or a related field.
• Professional Experience:5-7+ years of experience in Business Operations, Program Management, Strategic Operations, or similar leadership roles within software development organizations.

Technical Background

Strong understanding of software development processes and modern Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) practices.

Experience working in Agile environments, including Tribe/Squad operating models.

Familiarity with AI-enabled development environments is an advantage.

Analytical Skills

Proven experience managing complex budgets and financial processes.

Strong data analysis capabilities, including dashboard development and performance reporting.

Ability to translate data into business insights and executive recommendations.

Leadership & Collaboration

Demonstrated ability to lead both direct and matrix organizations.

Strong stakeholder management skills, including working with senior executives.

Proven track record of driving change, influencing without authority, and building cross-functional partnerships.
