Mechanical Quality Control (QC) Inspector

Description

BIRD Aerosystems is seeking a precise, detail-oriented Mechanical Quality Control (QC) Inspector to join our Quality team. Defect Identification & Reporting: Identify, document, and report non-conformances, defects, and deviations in accordance with quality procedures. The Mechanical Quality Control (QC) Inspector is responsible for ensuring that mechanical parts, assemblies, and products comply with defined engineering drawings, specifications, quality standards, and customer requirements throughout the manufacturing process. Surface Quality Inspection: Perform surface finish and quality checks using an optical microscope. Document Verification: Inspect and verify incoming manufacturing documentation, including Certificates of Conformance (COC), Certificates of Testing (COT), and dimensional inspection reports. Precision Measurement: Perform mechanical inspection of mechanical parts using precise measuring instruments. Data Management & Reporting: Report faults, update quality data in computerized systems, and generate comprehensive inspection reports. Compliance & Execution: Adhere to work plans, schedule targets, and strict quality assurance standards and protocols.

Requirements

• . Technical Drawings: Strong ability to read and interpret complex mechanical drawings, including standard GD&T symbols and technical terminology.
• Precision Measuring Equipment: Hands-on experience and proficiency with precision measuring tools (e.g., height gauges, calipers, micrometers, plug/thread gauges).
• Standards & Compliance: Familiarity with relevant quality standards and regulations in the defense/aerospace manufacturing sectors.
• Computer Literacy: Strong computer skills; hands-on experience with Priority ERP software is highly desirable.

Education & Experience

Education: Practical Engineer (Practical Mechanical Engineer) degree or 2–3 years of hands-on experience as a Mechanical QC Inspector, specifically within machining/CNC manufacturing environments.

Language Requirements

Hebrew: Full proficiency (reading, writing, and speaking) – Mandatory. English: Ability to read and understand technical language and professional terminology-Mandatory.
