Planner / Buyer
Description
Rapid Medical is a fast-growing medical device company focused on developing, manufacturing, and selling innovative devices for endovascular interventional procedures. We are looking for an experienced Planner / Buyer to join our Operations team and take end-to-end ownership of material planning and purchasing, making sure production always has the materials it needs while keeping inventory levels balanced and healthy. This role combines planning and hands-on purchasing activities in a dynamic, regulated medical device manufacturing environment. LOCATION: Yokneam, Israel
SCOPE & RESPONSIBILITIES Own the material planning process end to end: translate demand forecasts and production plans into a procurement and material supply plan, based on inventory levels, lead times, reorder points, and safety stock Set up the MRP process in Priority ERP, maintain it, and take full control of its ongoing operation and outputs Execute purchasing activities, including issuing purchase orders, following up on deliveries, and ensuring on-time supply Monitor inventory levels and incoming deliveries, proactively identifying shortages, delays, and supply risks while preventing excess inventory Manage ongoing relationships with suppliers and subcontractors, develop a broad supplier base with alternative sources, and maintain competitive pricing, quality, and delivery performance Collaborate with R&D during NPI and design transfer activities, including defining purchasing needs for new products and identifying suitable suppliers Work closely with the Finance team on invoice approvals, purchase order matching, and resolving supplier payment issues Collaborate with Production, Engineering, Quality, and Warehouse teams Ensure purchasing activities comply with relevant regulatory and quality requirements for the medical device industry Leverage AI tools for advanced analysis, automation, and continuous improvement of planning and purchasing processes
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Logistics, or a related field – required
- 3–5 years of experience in planning and purchasing roles – Must
- Previous experience in a medical device manufacturing company – required
- Proven hands-on experience with Priority ERP, including MRP setup and maintenance – required
- Proven experience translating demand forecasts into material and procurement plans – Must
- Proven ability to use AI tools for advanced analysis and automation – required
- Strong negotiation and supplier management skills, with experience managing a broad base of suppliers and subcontractors – required
- Working knowledge of international import and export logistics, including air and sea freight, express shipments, and Incoterms-required
- High level of English, both written and spoken – Must
- Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and a strong systems-oriented approach
- Ability to work effectively in a dynamic environment, manage multiple priorities, and perform under tight timelines
- Strong interpersonal skills and a service-oriented approach when working with internal and external stakeholders
