QA Manager

We are looking for a QA Owner to take ownership of our quality assurance process and help ensure that every feature and fix is thoroughly tested before reaching production. You will work closely with Product and Engineering throughout the development lifecycle, owning feature testing, regression testing, exploratory testing, and pre-release smoke testing. You will identify and document issues, validate fixes, maintain test coverage, and provide clear visibility into product quality and release readiness. This is a hands-on role with real ownership and influence over how we build, test, and release our product.

What You'll Do

• Own the QA process across the development lifecycle, from feature development through production release.
• Define testing requirements and coverage for new features and fixes.
• Test features and fixes against defined requirements and acceptance criteria before production deployment.
• Perform functional, regression, exploratory, and pre-release smoke testing.
• Identify, document, and track bugs with clear reproduction steps and supporting evidence.
• Retest fixes and confirm that issues are fully resolved before release.
• Build and maintain a structured regression test suite covering the product's critical functionality.
• Continuously improve test coverage based on product risk, recent changes, recurring issues, and production defects.
• Run smoke tests before production releases and provide clear Go/No-Go recommendations.
• Maintain organized test cases, scenarios, results, and known-issue documentation.
• Track QA trends and recurring failure patterns and provide actionable insights to Product and Engineering.
• Work closely with developers to coordinate defect resolution and retesting.
• Use customer escalations and recurring issues as input for regression and exploratory testing.
• Proactively identify quality risks and escalate critical issues when needed.
• Leverage AI and tools such as Claude Code to improve test coverage, automate testing, analyze results, and streamline QA workflows.

Requirements

• Hands-on experience in QA / software testing.
• Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, including functional, regression, exploratory, and smoke testing.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to identify unexpected behavior and edge cases.
• Ability to translate product requirements and acceptance criteria into effective test scenarios.
• Experience documenting and tracking bugs clearly and effectively.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work closely with developers and product stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong ownership and the confidence to challenge a release when critical quality risks are identified.
• A proactive mindset and willingness to continuously improve QA processes and test coverage.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted testing or tools such as Claude Code is a strong advantage.

• Success in this role means that critical functionality is consistently covered, features and fixes are properly tested before production, regression risks are identified early, and the team has clear visibility into the quality and readiness of every release.
• You will play a key role in reducing escaped and recurring defects while helping us build a scalable and efficient QA process.
