Responsibilities

• As a Senior Backend Engineer, you’ll build and ship the backend services at the core of Utila’s platform, taking features from concept to production. You’ll work closely with the team on the technical and architectural decisions that shape where the platform goes next. What you build runs the digital asset operations of institutions around the world, so it has to scale and it has to hold up.
• What you’ll own
• Build and deploy backend services with Go, Kubernetes on GCP, Pulumi (IaC) and PostgreSQL.
• Design and ship features end to end, from concept to deployment, with solutions that are high-quality, scalable and maintainable.
• Make technology and architecture decisions together with the team, in line with where we’re heading.
• Take part in design and code reviews, and help hold the bar for robust, high-quality solutions.

Requirements

• What you bring
• 6+ years of professional software development experience, preferably in high-scale cloud services.
• Expertise in designing, building and operating large-scale distributed systems built for rapid growth.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms and experience working on SaaS products.
• You work as part of a team: you bring people in early, share what you know, and step in when a teammate is stuck.

Nice to have

• Expertise in applied cryptography, networking and operating systems.
• Experience with blockchain technology.
