Senior Systems Engineer - Aerial Systems

As a Senior System Engineer - Aerial Systems , you will play a critical role in designing, implementing, and maintaining the various aerial systems developed in Kela. This is a highly hands-on and technical role. You will work closely with the development teams in the office, lab and the field. Drive the system architecture and detailed specifications for our aerial systems through rapid iterations and hands-on prototyping. Support and oversee the transition of the products from prototype and certification phases into mass production. Deploy, configure, and integrate complex hardware and software components to ensure optimal system performance in tactical environments. Work closely with cross-functional teams (R&D, manufacturing, QA, field operations) throughout the entire system lifecycle Maintain comprehensive system documentation and provide training for team members on system updates, safety procedures, and compliance.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in system engineering or related roles.
• Proven experience in multi-disciplinary aerial systems development including the flying platform itself.
• Knowledge and proven experience with aerial systems safety standards, compliance, and defense regulations.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Experience scaling a product from prototype to mass production- a strong advantage.
• Familiarity with FPV drone development and operations - a strong advantage.
