System Engineer

Paragon is a fast-growing cyber company. We are looking for an experienced System Engineer to join our Infrastructure team. The role focuses on managing and supporting on-premises environments, including physical servers, virtual infrastructure, storage systems, enterprise applications, AI platforms, and core infrastructure services. The ideal candidate is highly technical, automation-oriented, solution-driven, and thrives in production environments.

Responsibilities

• Manage and support physical servers, virtualized environments, and enterprise storage systems in an on-premises infrastructure.
• Administer and maintain: Active Directory, ADFS, DNS, etc
• Support and maintain enterprise platforms including: Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, GitLab
• Support AI infrastructure, including deployment, hosting, and maintenance of AI services and model-serving platforms. Download, deploy, update, and manage AI models.
• Develop and maintain automation solutions using Ansible, Bash, and Python.
• Troubleshoot complex infrastructure and application issues in production environments.
• Drive operational improvements, automation initiatives, and infrastructure optimization.
• Collaborate with development, DevOps, security, and data/AI teams to deliver reliable services.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience as a System Engineer or similar infrastructure role.
• Proven experience working in production (Prod) environments.
• Strong hands-on experience with: Physical servers, Virtualization platforms - VMware, Enterprise storage systems.
• Extensive experience with: Active Directory, ADFS, DNS
• Advanced Linux administration skills.
• Hands-on experience with: Ansible, Bash scripting, Python
• Experience administering: Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, GitLab.
• Experience with monitoring, observability, and logging solutions.
• Experience in highly available and mission-critical environments.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Self-driven, proactive, and able to work with a Can-Do approach.
• Ability to think outside the box and provide creative solutions to complex challenges.
• Advantages
• Experience with AWS and/or GCP cloud platforms.
• Familiarity with Kubernetes, containers, and DevOps practices.
• Experience supporting AI infrastructure and working with AI/LLM model deployment
