5–10 yrs

The Role

As an Installation Manager at Applied Materials, you’ll lead the team of installation engineers in Kiryat Gat and be accountable for installing advanced semiconductor systems safely, on time and to the customer’s quality standards. The role combines people leadership with hands-on technical judgment. You’ll work closely with our service, technical support and global product teams, and serve as a visible, trusted point of contact for our customers’ fabs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop the team: Manage, coach and mentor installation engineers. Assign work, set goals, run performance reviews, plan compensation and career growth, and address performance issues fairly and promptly.
  • Own installation delivery: Plan resources and schedules for field installations. Ensure each project meets targets for safety, quality, cycle time and cost, including a structured handoff with the service team once installation is complete.
  • Keep customers on schedule: Partner with the service team on new-system ramps. When priorities shift, add resources or extend working hours to protect the customer’s timeline.
  • Solve problems fast: Coach engineers through technical challenges and coordinate troubleshooting. Escalate to technical support and product experts early to resolve blockers quickly.
  • Ensure accuracy and accountability: Review and approve engineers’ time reporting, and track team performance against clear metrics.
  • Manage capacity and capability: Make sure the team has the people, skills, tools and materials it needs across sites to stay productive.
  • Connect the field to the factory: Act as Applied’s regional contact for global product and business units. Support key programs and new-product rollouts, plan field resources, and feed technical and quality insights back to product teams to drive continuous improvement.
